Earn Money Writing for Adsense Revenue Writing Sites

Online websites and blogs have become so popular that there is a constant demand for good writers to write well written content for businesses of all types and for busy website owners.  However, with the variety of websites available there are also a vast variety of content writing opportunities,  low paying gigs  and flat out scams.  For some writers, writing might become a full time career whereas for others these writing opportunities offer a chance to build a steady stream of passive income on a part-time basis.

Many internet searchers might have heard of writing opportunities available on websites like Textbroker or Freelancer.  These websites  pay you (the writer)  a flat fee for an article written according to their stated topic and deadline and  will usually pay around $2.00 to $5.00 for a 300-500 word article. (Note: 500 words is the approximate word count of this article which is about a full page on your typical word processing page.)

There is usually an application process, and after you have been approved, you have access to a job board of several article writing projects that you select, where you are then required to write the article according to stated guidelines, submit the article and wait for approval.  Upon approval, you are then credited for the job done and at certain times set up by the company (usually  bi-weekly or once a month) you are then paid via a Paypal account.  These types of writing opportunities are usually attractive to writers who want to earn money as quickly as possible.

However, while they are a source of income for the time involved depending on how much time you want to dedicate, they are more of a part time opportunity.   I prefer content adsense revenue sharing sites as in typical writing for content websites you are exchanging your time for a set amount of money. (Usually a very low amount, especially if you live in a country with a higher cost of living like the United States.)  Even so, I am not undermining anyone who feels that this weekly amount is worth their investment of time and creates a stream of income that is just enough to reduce debt or contribute to their household’s family income.

In contrast, a content adsense revenue sharing site (such as Infobarrel or Hubpages) will allow you to write an article, and once it is approved it is posted on their website and both you and the website share the adsense revenue payout by Google.  This type of writing requires  a commitment of writing time but once the article is posted you stand to earn money with added traffic to your article over time.

The problem for many writers is that it takes a time period of between 4-6 months before the average writer  starts seeing any significant results and many writers quit before they even earn a small amount of income.  However, adsense revenue sharing is the better choice (in my opinion) between the two, especially if you only have a limited time to invest in your writing and in the long run you get paid better for your content via google adsense.

If you write great content, your articles will bring in money even months afterward and they can always show proof of the quality of your writing, contribute to developing your “book” or portfolio  if you should decide to write for a living full time.

Some writers  use a combination of both types of writing,  ghostwriting  or copywriting for others for a set amount per article and adsense content writing to build additional  revenue.
